Itinerary

Stop At: Myanmar Red Cross Society, Dala, Myanmar (Burma)
Transfer to the starting point for biking tour. After a short 10 minutes cycling through downtown Yangon, we reach the Pansodan jetty, where we board the big ferry to Dala, across the Yangon river.
After crossing from downtown by ferry and cycling unknown parts of Dala along the river, a boat will take you to the island and you'll literally arrive to another world, some decades throwback in time. Small villages and monasteries hidden in bamboo forest, paddy fields and water buffaloes are waiting for you. On small paths you will explore the almost entirely car-free island, where the friendly locals go about their business in the fields, on the markets and small workshops along the route. After visiting the southern tip of the island, where, at an an old customs office, taxes from the passing riverboats are collected, a rest will be taken in an idyllic bamboo garden attached to a tiny village, where you can enjoy some chilled drinks and snacks and refresh yourself. Boarding the antique river ferry, it's only a very interesting 30-minutes ride until you reach back to the jetty in Yangon on Strand road.
