Stop At: Hindu Temple, 2 Mandalay-Lashio Rd, Maymyo, Myanmar (Burma)

Pick up from your hotel at 08:00 hours and drive to the downtown area, starting point at Sule Shangri-La Hotel where you will meet your guide. Start your walking tour with a morning outdoor street market. There is a mixture of colonial buildings, churches, mosques (including Sunni and Shia) and Buddhist Monastery and Ordination Hall. These beautiful buildings reflect the mix of religions in the city. You will visit a Kali Hindu temple, as well as the beautiful French designed, St John's Catholic Church and the only Synagogue in Myanmar. You will go inside an old colonial mansion that has seen better days, plus a fantastic 100-year old indoor food market. It's a great showcase for the political and social history of Myanmar. The most impressive thing about Yangon is its vibrant street life with lots of market stalls and teahouses. Explore the Chinatown area where you will get lots of opportunity to taste local foods during your walk.

Stop At: Yangon City Hall, Mahabandoola Road, Yangon (Rangoon) Myanmar

In the afternoon, start exploring some hidden gems that are off the tourist trail. Visit an old heritage building family mansion, and walk through an afternoon outdoor street market. You will also see the old financial district, The High Court (1900), The Old Telegram Office, The City Hall (1940), The old Jewish Office Building (1906), The old Armenian Balthazar Office Building (1907), a number of old residential buildings (early 1900), The Port authority building, The old Armenian Church, General Post Office (1908) and British Embassy (1900), and the beautiful St Mary's Cathedral, the third biggest cathedral in Asia, and the magnificent Secretariat Building. On the way, you will pass through The oldest Hotel of Myanmar build in 1901, Strand Hotel which was one of the three chain hotels by Sarkies Brother. After that, you will be transferred back to your hotel around 15:00 hours.
