In the morning, our guide will pick you up at your hotel and proceed to the Yangon Railway Station to catch the train to Bago. The train offers a closer look into the lives of its passengers: commuters, fruit vendors, monks and families.

Stop At: Shwemawdaw Paya, Bago Myanmar
Once you arrive to Bago after 2 hours train ride, you will visit the Kyatkatwine Teaching Monastery, one of Myanmar’s largest monastic schools for young novices. From there you’ll head to the Shwemawdaw Pagoda, which at 114 metres high, holds the record for tallest in Myanmar.
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
Stop At: နန်ဨကရာဇ်မန်တမၠာ Kanbawza Thadi Golden Palace, Bago, Myanmar (Burma)
Then you will head over to Kanbawzathadi Palace, the former abode of King Bayinnaung circa 1556. Although the original building was burnt down in 1599, built in 1990, this ornate imitation bears striking resemblance to the original.

Stop At: Shwethalyaung Buddha, Bago Myanmar
After, continue to the Shwethalyaung Buddha, or simply, as the ‘reclining Buddha.’ Rumored to have been built by the Mon King Migadepa in 996, this 55-metre long and 16-metre high reclining likeness of the famed ascetic is awe-inspiring.

Stop At: Kyaik Pun Pagoda, Bago, Myanmar (Burma)
Afterwards, you will visit the four mammoth Buddha images seated in the open-air surroundings of Kyaikpun pagoda, constructed by the Mon king 'Damazedi' in 1476 A.D.

Stop At: Htauk Kyant War Memorial Cemetery, Pyay Rd, Yangon, Myanmar (Burma)
Lastly, the Allied War Cemetary in Htaukkyan. Opened in 1951, the cemetery is maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and is one of the most visited and highest rated war sites in Asia. After, you return to Yangon.
