The Sule Pagoda is a Burmese stupa located in the heart of downtown Yangon, occupying the centre of the city and an important space in contemporary Burmese politics, ideology and geography. According to legend, it was built before the Shwedagon Pagoda during the time of the Buddha, making it more than 2,600 years old.

Located in downtown Yangon, Myanmar, Maha Bandula Park was named after General Maha Bandula, who fought against the British in the war from 1824- 1826. Maha Bandula Park is a ideal place to get away from bustling city. With a brief stroll in the park, you can see that besides the beautiful natural scenery, there is the Independence Monument built in about the mid- 20th century.
Inspite of not many attractions inside, from Maha Bandula Park, visitor can reach many interesting streets such as Maha Bandula Garden Street, Sule Pagoda Road, Konthe Road or Maha Bandula Road.
