I loved this day trip to Plitvice Lakes. The inclusion of Rastoke as a short stop on the way was brilliant - a great initiation to waterfalls. The tour guide, Dimco - I'm not sure about the spelling - was excellent!
This was a fantastic tour. Convenient pickup, extremely knowledgeable guide, beautiful parks. Would highly recommend to friends!
The tour guide, Matija Kavan was excellent and the tour was perfectly executed! We’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for one of the most beautiful parks in the world. Our tour guide was FABULOUS and shared his extensive knowledge of Croatia, Split, Zagreb, Plitvice and all surrounding areas. His passion for his job and Country was unparalleled and the bonus was his great sense of humor. Our guide drove safely and was a lot of fun and very accommodating. There is a split wood pathway so be sure to wear closed shoe toes or good tennis shoes. This park is a must see, one of a kind tour you can’t miss. Plitviče Lakes National Park is a 295-sq.-km forest reserve in central Croatia. It's known for a chain of 16 terraced lakes, joined by waterfalls, that extend into a limestone canyon. Walkways and hiking trails wind around and across the water, and an electric boat links the 12 upper and 4 lower lakes. The latter are the site of Veliki Slap, a 78m-high waterfall.
My guide Karlos was amazing, super knowledgeable and personable which made for a great day. Everything was really well organised and felt super professional. The lakes themselves will blow your mind and should 100% be on your bucket list. I ended up being the only person booked for this tour, so special mention to the company for still going ahead with it and not trying to reschedule me.
I was a little tired from day tours as I’d just come from the coast and had been doing quite a few finding the long day tours quite exhausting. However, I’m so glad I pushed through and went on this tour. Our guide Matija was incredibly knowledgeable not just on the lakes but on the history of Croatia and surrounding countries. He gave some great insights on the way home which made the drive go very quick. Highly recommend doing this tour.
We completed the tour as scheduled without feeling rushed. Our tour guide Matija was incredibly knowledgeable about the Plitvice Lakes and the surrounding areas. His knowledge of Croatia’s history was also very educational and interesting. Thank you for the great experience! Ron NYC
We are very glad we went to the Plitvice Lakes with this tour company and their highly experienced guide. It is a very popular destination and we realized that it would be very difficult to go independently. We chose this company for its excellent reviews. We were not disappointed. The 8-seater van was a new model and in excellent condition. Safety is our top priority. There were three other guests in our group who all enjoyed this trip as well. Karlo our driver and guide was very personable and has a wealth of knowledge on the sights along the route, and Croatian history. He is a very safe driver and made our trip very enjoyable. You might find tour operators with a cheaper price but you get what you pay for. For us, safe vehicles and safe drivers are our top priorities. This company and our guide Karlo exceeded our expectations. We really enjoyed the tour and we will go on the Slovenia tour with them when we come back to Zagreb.
Matt our tour guide was excellent. We have learnt so much about Croatia and its rich history. Beautiful scenery, excellent tour overall! I can strongly recommend.
We went on this tour the day before yesterday. It's a bit of a drive to get to the park, but well worth it. The pit stop to see the milling town and to grab a quick bite is well placed to break up the drive. The park itself is breathtakingly beautiful. The waterfalls and lakes are truly a natural wonder and well worth seeing. The whole place is one post card worthy view after another. Our guide Mat was both friendly and helpful. I would caution those considering the tour that this is a fairly lengthy hike of around six miles, and the path isn't particularly well maintained by North American standards so if you aren't particularly fit and have problems with mobility or balance this probably isn't a tour you want to take. That's no fault of the tour operator its simply the status of the park. Proper foot wear and being prepared for rain are also advisable.
Plitvice Lakes is a sight to behold. This place should be in the list of Wonders or the world. Highly recommended with comfy shoes and lots of water =))
This was an excellent tour, our tour guide carlo was awesome. It wasn't just a tour of the lakes- we got history we got current events , we got a sense of Croatia that we did not have prior to the trip. The lake was spectacularly breathtaking, truly a wonder of nature.
Very nice full-day tour, unfortunately part of the Park was closed for visitation. The guide was excellent, with knowledge about History of Croacia.
Absolutely fabulous! Our guide was most knowledgeable and explained Croatian history to us on the way to Plitvices. We were never rushed and yet saw a good 7 miles of the park. My husband had trouble but our guide arranged for a van to transport him back to the entrance area to wait for us.we met wonderful folks from Brazil and India which added to the experience!
Plitvice lakes national park was awesome, such beautiful and one of its kind in the world falls , lakes . The views were very scenic and jaw dropping! Our guide Karlo was fantastic, jolly and very informative. He covered all the things we need to know about Plitvice lakes, he is very knowlegeable of the history of Croatia, we learned a lot from him. He can talk to you just about anything there is under the sun. He takes care of us just like a Hen looking after Her chicks.
Our guide Carlos was very kind and fond of his job. Plitvice lakes are amazing. Totally recommend everybody to see it
Even though other tourists has cancelled, and I was the only customer of the tour, they did not cancel it and still have a tour guide to pick me up from hotel to enjoy a private tour of Plitvice Lake. Tour guide Luka was very knowledgeable as he was studying history in University and told me background of Croatia history as well as life in Croatia nowadays. The tour itself was great, some walking but the path was very nicely laid so as long as you wear a pair of hiking shoes should be no problem. The scenary was magnificent, and Luka told me where to take good pictures. Truly enjoy the day! Thank you.
On the day it was raining but our guide couldnt do enough for us he went out of his way to make our day great. His know with the history of the areas was excellent great day allround
